The La Verne Symphony Orchestra is a University of La Verne musical ensemble, established in collaboration with the La Verne community. Student, Faculty, Staff and Community musicians join together, bringing inspiring and uplifting music to our community.
ULV Chamber Music Spring Concert
Thursday May 16, 2026 at 6pm
This diverse and dynamic program features a wide range of ensemble combinations — from intimate duos and trios to a full chamber ensemble of eight musicians — showcasing the richness and versatility of collaborative music-making.
Audiences will enjoy an eclectic musical journey spanning Baroque masterworks, Romantic favorites, 20th-century works, jazz-inspired selections, and beloved contemporary songs by composers including Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Schubert, Paul Hindemith, Roman Selezinka, Gabriel Fauré, Antônio Carlos Jobim, and Alan Menken.

Performers are ULV Chamber Music Students and Community members. Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann, adjunct professor of music, is the director of the group.

Operation Opera
The La Verne Symphony Orchestra (LVSO) proudly announces its Spring 2026 Concert, to be presented on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 4:00 PM in the beautiful Morgan Auditorium at the University of La Verne.
Under the baton of Dr. Sylvia Lee Mann, Music Director and Conductor, this vibrant program—“Operation Opera”—celebrates some of the most beloved and dramatic music from the operatic stage. Our special guest vocalist for the concert is Sherry Kaplan.
Audiences can expect an afternoon of elegance, color, and excitement, featuring iconic melodies and orchestral showpieces drawn from opera’s rich tradition.
